Thanks for this Sandeep. Do you think your will integrate it into CWP? I appreciate the thought that went into it and that the TUI has options/ variables visually displayed, that goes a long way in m

The package should be installed from the base OS :

Which Sodium package is the closet to what CWP built in 8.3?

I am using CentOS 7 and PHP 7.4 for an email server.

I noticed that the instructions in the link only apply to EL8 or later.

How can I update PHP on CentOS 7?

Hi,

I am getting following error on AlmaLinux 8

# php-manager

Detected EL8 (AlmaLinux 8.10 (Cerulean Leopard))

Please guide further.

regards,

Thanks i installed it.

I see it is the running version in php-fpm but my cwp dashboard and php -v still shows the old version, how can i activate the new version to make sure my websites are running on the new protected versions, and also the cwp server itself should use the new version.

I am a bit confused on how to activate it :)
Thanks

I have disabled other repos and enable only baseos

#dnf --disablerepo='*' --enablerepo=baseos,appstream install libpq-devel

but still getting PostgreSQL installation path error

You can install required extension by adding "--with-sodium" flag just search php.net how you can install it with flag.

Sandeep Ji,

I already tried with "dnf --disablerepo='*' --enablerepo=baseos,appstream install libpq-devel" and also uninstall Posgresql but still getting same error.

Can you repeat steps or DM me please?

1 hour ago, Sandeep B. said:

Kindly provide more information if the package is installed or not

No. I have uninstall Posgresql from CWP GUI, but still getting error

checking for pg_config... not found

configure: error: Cannot find libpq-fe.h. Please specify correct PostgreSQL installation path

ERROR: PHP 8.3.36 configure FAILED. Build stopped; make was NOT run.

It would be possible to adapt the installer for older versions (5.x to 7.x) by using minimal fixes provided by CloudLinux in a public repository.

The CloudLinux public repository offers minimal fixes for versions 5.3 and later to close this vulnerability.

Thanks for your help.

I could have sworn I did that (--with-sodium) yesterday, but my brain was fried with all the CVE's, maybe I didn't.

The new installation instruction is way quicker. :)

1 thing CWP is popping up after the upgrade is:

Yes, yes it does. ☹️

Hopefully when they focus on AL9 and AL10 it will goto PHP 8.4/8.5.

** FIXED **

Had to rebuild PHP 8.3.33 from within CWP, and then rebuilt with PHP Manager and mailparse is installed.

Didn't even need to tell PHP Manager to add it.

Sandeep,

Just ran into this on a AL9 server, tried to recompile PHP with:

php-manager switcher 8.3.36 --with-ldap=/usr --with-ldap-sasl --with-sodium --with-mailparse

and

using:

php-manager switcher 8.3.36 --with-ldap=/usr --with-ldap-sasl --with-sodium
php-manager pie 8.3.36 pecl/mailparse switcher

This is what shows:

PHP Installer for Extensions (PIE) 1.5.2, from The PHP Foundation
You are running PHP 8.5.12
Target PHP installation: 8.3.36 nts, on Linux/OSX/etc x86_64 (from /usr/local/php/bin/php)
Found package: pecl/mailparse:v3.2.0 which provides ext-mailparse
✅ PIE package pecl/mailparse (mailparse) is already installed and verified.

PIE extension installation completed for PHP 8.3.36.
[root@ ~]# /usr/local/php/bin/php -m | grep -Ei '^(ldap|imap|mailparse)$'
imap
ldap

But for some reason it won't add it.
I've even tried re-installing PHP Manager using your new script.

Again, Thanks for all your help, it really is appreciated it.

Problem Fixed

Can an auto-update code for php-manager with a parameter of -U be put in ?

Can the php-manager auto update PHP Versions to the latest versions that are installed with PHP Switcher, PHP Selector and PHP-FPM Selector?

it should be --enable-mailparse not --with-mailparse https://www.php.net/manual/en/mailparse.installation.php

For PIE, you need to use it https://packagist.org/packages/pecl/mailparse
pecl/mailparse
